This is a journal of discovery. One grad student, one kitchen filled with Pampered Chef products, 8 weeks of a scientific study, and hope.
I've signed up for a paleo diet study at my graduate school which starts in 2 days. I'm excited but also very nervous because some of my paleo recipe experiments haven't been as tasty as I was hoping they would be. I'm a Pampered Chef consultant and a home kitchen wizard. I've tried every diet out there except for Paleo and now I'm giving it a try for scientific enquiry and the betterment of mankind.
What I hope to gain from this experiment: weight loss, less over all pain throughout my body, fewer migraines, and better health.
What are they study requirements: Paleo diet minus added sweeteners for 8 weeks.
Challenges: I face several challenges for this study/experiment.
- The Jewish holidays of Purim, Passover, and several more minor holidays
- My vegetarian in laws are coming to visit for the first 4 days of Passover
- My job as a Pampered Chef consultant
- My busy schedule as a full time grad student getting my MBA
